Tentang Saya (About Me)
Darwin is an associate professor in the Department of Agricultural Engineering. He got his MS degree on Biological and Agricultural Engineering, North Carolina State University, USA. His PhD degree was obtained from the School of Chemical-Metallurgical Engineering and Chemistry, Murdoch University, Australia. His research interests include bio-fermentation technology, waste water treatment, bio-energy, bio-fuel and bio-product production. He has published more than twenty peer review scientific journals including national and international journals. Most of the international journal articles are indexed in Scopus data base, and some of them are published high impact rank journals. As an associate professor, Darwin also actively write a textbook and currently he has published two textbooks. Currently, he serves as an editor in chief in the scientific journal named “Rona Teknik Pertanian”, and he also actively involved and invited as a reviewer in a reputable journal and also as a reviewer research project.
His current research projects include microbial electrolysis in waste conversion and bio-fuel (i.e. biodiesel and biogas), bio-degradable plastic production, rumen in-vitro fermentation and in-vitro civet coffee fermentation. Those research projects are funded by Syiah Kuala University and Ministry Research and Technology, Indonesia.
