Tentang Saya (About Me)

I have done several types of research on programming for broad physics field areas such as oceanography and atmospheric modeling, signal processing, digital instrumentation, computer simulation and animation, and physics educations . After giant earthquake and tsunami affected my city, my research activities focus on natural disaster and related topic. In addition, I have done amount researches on hardware and software programming related to my work in the physics department.

I have developed Neo-Deterministic Seismic Hazard Assessment (NDSHA) for regional scale Sumatra Island which has almost completely surrounded by several types of faults. Due to the size, shape, and complexity of the seismogenic zones, an enhanced source definition procedure has been successfully developed starting from the standard version NDSHA. I have speeding up the computations by a factor of 4.5 without compromising the quality of the final hazard map by searching the most significant sources using attenuation equation. The attenuation equation is the base of Probabilistic Seismic Hazard Assessment (PSHA). I interest to combine the probabilistic and deterministic method to take advantages of both methods.
