Kahlil Muchtar, ST., M.Eng., Ph.D

Kahlil Muchtar (M'17) received his B.S. degree from Sekolah Tinggi Teknik-PLN, Jakarta, in 2007 from the Department of Computer Science. He spent 3 years (2007-2010) in industry as System Software Specialist (using Spring Framework, Struts and Oracle) at PT. Praweda Ciptakarsa Informatika, Jakarta. His specific role was developing Web-based Enterprise Banking called RTGS (Real-time Gross Settlement) system for all branches of Bank of Indonesia. He obtained M.Eng. degree from Asia University, Taiwan, in 2012 from the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering. He then received Ph.D. degree from National Sun Yat-sen University, Kaohsiung, Taiwan, in 2017 from the Department of Electrical Engineering (Advised by Chia-Hung Yeh and Chih-Yang Lin). Dr. Kahlil joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Syiah Kuala University (USK) as a Lecturer and Researcher in 2017. Dr. Kahlil’s research interests include multimedia, video surveillance and 3D reconstruction
Dr. Kahlil has been an active member of APSIPA and IEEE. Dr. Kahlil has co-authored 11 international conferences, 8 international journal papers and hold 1 patent in Taiwan. He received the 2014 IEEE GCCE Outstanding Poster Award, the 2013 Intelligent Electronics System Design Contest Award for Excellent achievement in the System Application Category from Ministry of Education (Taiwan), Silver Award of Intel(R) Taiwan Intelligent Systems Design Student Contest 2013, and Second Prize Winners of 2014 Intel(R) Cup Embedded System Design Invitational Contest (Shanghai, China). He also won travel grants from Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), Taiwan to IEEE International Workshop on Multimedia Signal Processing (MMSP’2014). Recently, he received Excellent IICM Ph.D. Dissertation Award 2017 from Taiwan.
