Radhi Darmansyah is a practitioner of conflict resolution and regional political observer. Currently, he is a professor at Syiah Kuala University in Banda Aceh, Indonesia. As a mediator and political consultant, he advises various government agencies, NGOs, political parties and private companies.
Since graduated from Institute for Conflict Analysis and Resolution (ICAR), George Mason University, in Fairfax, Virginia, USA, he had been involved in post tsunami recovery and development program in Aceh and Nias. He worked for government tsunami recovery agency, Badan Rehabilitasi and Rekonstruksi (BRR), for couple years.
He involved in some informal mediations to assist Aceh and Jakarta poltical stakeholders in finding solutions for oil and gas regulations and policies dispute.
His issues of interest are democratization, decentralization, elections, geopolitics, media, separatism, terrorism, mining, oil and gas and CSR----- in Indonesia, Southeast Asia and the Middle East region. His regular research, mediation and consultation activities are focused in Aceh and eastern Indonesia region.
Radhi Darmansyah currently serves as Head of the Center for Development and Democracy Studies of Syiah Kuala University.
Currently, he also serves as Acting Coordinator of Political Sciences Department, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Syiah Kuala University.
