Tentang Saya (About Me)
I’m a lecturer in the department of Agricultural Product Technology at Syiah Kuala University. I completed my undergraduate studies at Syiah Kuala University in 2004 and earned a Masters in Food Science from North Carolina State University (Raleigh NC, USA) in 2013. My masters research was focused on the production of an instant noodle product intended to be used as a ‘Ready to Use Therapeutic Food’ (RTUF). The noodles are based on sweet potatoes, soybeans, mung bean and other agricultural products locally available in Aceh. My other research interests include sustainable food production and food packaging for small businesses. I also have a strong interest in modern education methods and I am continuously applying new ways of engaging and motivating students in the classroom environment. The aim of this is to not only present the material but to engage the students in how to use that knowledge to solve problems.
